Spring 2019 ASOS Wishlist

. Monday, 25 March 2019 .
I don't know about where you guys live, but the last couple of days have actually been pretty sunny for me! Still a bit chilly, but nevertheless the sunshine has made me think of the impending Spring. The clocks for forward at the end of this week and it's pay day tomorrow. So obviously with all that taken into consideration, of course I had to have a quick glance at the 'new in' section on ASOS. Probably not a great idea as I've already mentally spent most of my pay check before I've even got it. Whoops! So I thought I'd share with you all some pieces that I just *might* be adding to my wardrobe very soon.

I'm not sure if it's possible to be totally in love with with a dress, but if it is, then this is the dress for me! I'm very rarely brave enough to wear white, but if ever there was a perfect time to wear a little white dress then spring/summer is it. I love that this one has long sleeves, as let's be honest, the warmer months here in the UK aren't always that warm. The bow detailing at the sleeves is also just adorable (although I am likely to end up accidentally getting it wet/covered in food).  Plus if you watch any of my haul videos on YouTube then you will already know about my absolute LOVE of tortoise shell buttons. So basically this dress just ticks every little box for me. I think it screams Urban Outfitters/Topshop but at £32 it's certainly much friendlier on the bank balance.

I have to admit, anything cropped but also knitted confuses me quite a bit. Like, do you want warmth or not? But again, this piece would work really well for those days when the weather can't seem to decide what it's doing! It would look great paired with some high waisted shorts/jeans depending on how warm it is. Plus I also think it would look cute with a patterned shirt poking out underneath to add something a bit different, especially if you aren't a fan of showing too much skin. It does seem a tad pricey for what it is though at £25. However ASOS are practically famous for having deals on almost all of the time, so could be a good one to keep in your saved items for a while to see if you can grab it for a better price!

Now for something a little bit more fancy, although could definitely be worn on more of an everyday basis depending on how you style it. I'm in love with the plain and simple front, but unusual design on the back of this jumpsuit. It nips you in at the waist with a cut out on your lower back to keep you cool in the warmer months and a cute button up detailing down the back. You should definitely click on the link to this one in order to see it in a bit more detail! From a distance it looks quite simple but the closer you look the more little features you notice, like the ruched detailing on the sleeves. I think this would be great for a summer wedding or christening perhaps and at £38 it's definitely cheaper than I expected it to be.

Co-ord sets are very hit or miss in my opinion, but this one is a definite hit with me! I'm not sure what it is about this print that attracts me (I did think it was a bit random when I realised that the pattern was oranges) but I really love it. The colours are definitely stand out with the pop of orange against the darker navy background. The only thing that concerns me is the boob area - I have small boobs and still even I'm not sure how this is supposed to cover them! The good thing about this is the top and shorts are sold separately, meaning you could always size up with the top if you are fuller busted. However the downside to this is it does make it a bit pricer than it originally seems. I initially thought it was £16 for the whole set, but then realised that was just for one half! So you'll end up paying £32 for the whole outfit. However it is very cute, particularly if you've got a holiday coming up soon!

Sticking with the theme of patterns, how awesome is this Hawaiian style shirt?! I'm a big fan of 'out there' style prints, especially in shirt form. I actually picked up a fab shirt from the Men's section in Primark before my trip to Florida - I wore it tied up with denim shirts and referred to it as my 'Grandad-chic look.' This shirt is definitely a bit more on the feminine side but still has the bright, summery pattern. I also love yellow so really its no wonder that I love this shirt. The big retro looking collar is also a hit with me, gives you the perfect opportunity to accessorise with a cute necklace. I would personally wear this tucked into some high-waisted shorts/jeans or even perhaps tucked into a block colour midi skirt.

Sticking with the yellow theme (I told you I really liked yellow), next up are these vibrant culottes. They are made from linen so perfect for keeping you cool but covered in the warmer months. Not only would these look fab casually but also for the office. I love the contrast of the structured top section with the boxy/unstructured nature of the lower section of the trousers. Great for highlighting a smaller waist, without being too figure hugging. Because let's be honest, nothing that is figure hugging is comfy to wear in the warmer months.

Ok, I promise this is the last yellow thing. This is currently out of stock and that just breaks my heart. This is the one thing on the list that I would have impulse purchased, even before I got paid, had it been in stock! I just love ditsy little summer dresses, plus I love yellow, and stripes and buttons... so you see why I love this dress so much! Plus it is only £22 which I think is a bargain. This would look super cute with some white sandals, straw hat and sunglasses. I'm off to Rome in June and cannot help but think this is an absolutely perfect Italian holiday outfit. I will definitely be keeping an eye on my saved list to see if this little beauty comes back into stock. (PS if anyone happens to notice its back in stock, please let me know, I'll be your best friend forever).

Another staple in my wardrobe is midi skirts - if you'd told 13 year old Chloe that she'd be obsessed with midi skirts in 10 years time she would have laughed in your face. I always used to prefer having my legs on show. But within the last year or so I've developed a whole new appreciation for a high waisted midi skirt with a top tucked in. This one just screams spring/summer to me with the lighter colour and faint floral pattern. It's also not too much of a statement in itself so would work well paired with a lot of different tops.

Of course no outfit is complete without an accessory, and in the warmer months it seems only right to include some sunglasses. I am a big fan of round glasses at the moment, particularly slightly larger ones like these. They have gold frames and then what ASOS describes as a 'smoked' effect on the glass. That smoked effect is what really draws me to these glasses, the fact that they're not too bold. The large circular shape is bold enough, so I think the less harsh colour of the glass itself makes the overall style look a lot softer and more feminine.

What is your favourite thing that I included in this wish list? Will you be picking any of these up? If you keep your eyes peeled on Instagram, I've no doubt that you'll be seeing some of these items make an appearance soon.

  1. It would appear we have VERY similar style! Those yellow trousers are gorgeous and the exact sort of style I've been looking for since LITERALLY last Spring so I'm definitely going to head over the ASOS and take a look at those, thank you!
