2019 Travel Plans

. Thursday, 24 January 2019 .
Before the clock has struck midnight on New Years Eve I always have multiple travel plans for the new year. I like to plan ahead, particularly where travel is concerned. Some people might consider it to be wishing your life away but I just always love to have something to look forward to. Watching a trip edge closer on a countdown app just gives me such a buzz! However, unusually for me, this year I don't have anywhere near as many trips planned as I'd like! I usually try to go on one longer trip each year but at the moment I only have shorter trips planned, and hopefully I'll be adding a few more to this list as the year goes on! This is everything I currently have planned for 2019:

Morocco

My first trip of the year is approaching fast; I'm off to Morocco on February 2nd with Plan My Gap Year. For anyone who doesn't know, I work for them creating video content so will be spending a few days with them in Rabat filming the projects they offer out there. After that I'm thinking of heading to Fez for a couple of days then finish my trip with a few days in Marrakech. I'm hoping to do some kind of day trip into the desert or perhaps the Atlas mountains. Right now, I have no clue. I'm just going to wing it really!

Orlando, Florida

This is a trip that I've wanted to do for YEARS! I went to Florida with my family when I was about 13 but my mum decided against doing Disney because of how expensive it was. But i'm a massive Disney fan and one of the things on my bucket list is to visit every Disney park in the World. So when my lovely friend Georgia Marie suggested a trip to Florida I couldn't have screamed any louder if I tried. We're heading out there in March to go to Playlist Live, Universal and Disney. This trip has cost me a small fortune but I don't even care. It'll be worth it!

Rome, Italy

I spent just under a month in Italy back in the summer of 2016 and loved every minute of it. Rome is by far one of my favourite cities, particularly because i'm a big history nerd and love everything to do with the Romans. So when my boyfriend suggested a short city break after he finishes his final placement I jumped at the chance. He's never been before so i'm excited to show him around and take him to my favourite spots. I also really want to try and sort out a day trip to visit Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii as that was a total highlight of my last trip. Plus who wouldn't jump at the chance to eat all the incredible pizza, pasta and gelato possible?!

Surprise Destination

This isn't meant to be a surprise for you guys so much as it is for my boyfriend. I wanted to take him somewhere on an adventure to celebrate him graduating university. However, as he sees all of my content, I can't tell you guys without spoiling the surprise for him. We're heading off for 4 days in July, so if you want to be one of the first to know where we go I'd suggest following me on Instagram, as I'm always posting Instagram stories. I'll likely vlog and blog about the trip, but that will all go live after I'm home!

Northern Italy

Another trip to Italy! This is very unlike me, it's quite unusual for me to go back to the same place twice, let alone twice in the same year! This time however I'll be visiting a different region of the country; Emilia Romagna which is a bit further North than Rome. We're heading there because my boyfriend is taking part in the Ironman race in September and then of course they'll be a bit of time for exploring too. I'm hoping to squeeze in a trip to Verona as it's somewhere I wanted to visit when I was in Italy in 2016 but just couldn't manage to squeeze it into the schedule as there was a lot I wanted to see in a fairly short amount of time!

European Winter Break

I've been on a winter break for the last two years and loved both of them! In 2017 I went to Berlin and in 2018 I went to Oslo. I'd never really been on a cold trip before, I usually I much prefer to chase the sunshine! But I've found a new found love for European Christmas markets and cold weather. I've no idea where I want to go yet, that's something I'll think about a bit closer to the time. I just know that I want to go on another little city break in December of 2019.

So I currently have adventures planned for February, March, June, July, September and December. I wonder if I'll be adding anymore to that as the year progresses!
