Current Skincare Favourites

I cannot be the only one who gets a bit lazy with their skin care routine at times. It’s something I’m getting better at but I always tend to find I take a little more care of my skin in the Autumn/Winter months. Generally because my skin seems to absolutely hate the colder months, so if I don't give it a little more attention, I'll regret it! My skin type is dehydrated and oily - which just seems like the most ridiculous combination to me! But these products seem to really be working for me at the moment.

Cupcake Face Mask from Lush

This is a product that I have used for years. It's recommended for oily and teenage skin that is prone to breakouts. While I am no longer a teenager, my skin is definitely oily and, unfortunately, still prone to breakouts. It's primary ingredient is Rhassoul mud, which I'll admit - I have no idea what it is! But Lush claims that it is highly absorbent, and works with the cocoa powder to draw out dirt and impurities. The mask smells incredible; a mix of chocolate and mint. You need to store it in the fridge due to the fresh ingredients meaning the mask is cold when applied which feels incredible and soothes any inflammation or redness on the skin. I cannot praise this product enough; I really notice the difference in my skin when I use it, it's affordable and made from natural ingredients. What more could you ask for?

Fruitizyme Five Minute Facial from Beauty Pie

Beauty Pie is easily one of my favourite brands for both skincare and makeup. If you aren't familiar with them I made a whole Youtube video explaining how it works so I'd suggest you check that out. I've also done videos testing out their makeup and skincare if you want to know more.
This exfoliator retails for £50 but if you're a BP member you pay just £5.86 and it is by far the best exfoliator I've ever used. It contains pomegranate enzymes as well as quartz micro buffing powder - the combination of which leaves my skin feeling incredible. The first time I used it my skin was actually worse for the following few days, however I think that's because it brought out all the spots that were just waiting to happen. But once incorporated into your skincare routine regularly it is great for keeping acne away. It also removes any dry patches meaning my foundation applies beautifully. Find out more about this here.

Beautiful Skin Hydration Mask from No 7

Although this product is described as a mask, I actually use it as an overnight moisturiser. This is without a doubt the best moisturiser I have ever used. It is a very thick consistency and is a combination of a gel and cream swirled together. Despite the thickness it sinks into my skin quickly and when you wash off the residue in the morning it leaves my skin looking absolutely radiant. The bottle also lasts for a really long time as 1-2 pumps are easily enough to cover your face. The bottle recommends you leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off however I prefer to use it overnight.
